How it works

    Search phonetically and visually similar marks on IP India's TM registry. Identify conflicts and choose the right class(es).

    1 day

    Application Filing

    File Form TM-A online on IP India e-filing portal. Pay government fee and receive TM application number acknowledgment.

    3–6 months

    Examination

    IP India examiner reviews the application. We respond to any examination report within 30 days to keep your application alive.

    12–18 months

    Journal Publication

    Accepted marks are published in the Trademark Journal. Third parties have 4 months to file an opposition.

    18–36 months total

    Registration Certificate

    Certificate issued once the opposition window closes without challenge. Valid for 10 years from filing date.
